Hey guys! I’m so excited to share the project we finished up not too long ago! This is one of our favorites. We were able to do this bathroom re-haul for our personal friends. They have great taste and we did a couple of new things we haven’t tried before. We did our first barn door – I know, a little late to the game! But now that we’ve done one, we can definitely see doing many more!
We framed out the bathroom mirror with some wood we distressed and stained. It’s such an easy and cost effective way to update the classic 90’s huge bathroom mirror. We left the original counter tops, but replaced the faucets which really updated the look. You can see here we were still waiting on the cabinets to come in. We ordered a classic shaker style that Craig inserted wainscoting and painted black. The picture below was taken later when we installed them. They turned out great and tied in well with the wainscoting.
This barn door was a lot of fun. Craig put me in charge of distressing it before we stained it. Talk about a stress reliever! Hammering, scraping and nailing this door proved so fun I am claiming any future distressing jobs!
Craig customized this wainscoting to fit the couple. She is a little bit country, he’s a little more modern. The vertical clean lines give it a modern feel while the bead board gives it a country, homey feel. We added a shelf to house some bath time goodies from the owner’s old pallet stash on the side of their house. Love that they had this for us to utilize. The Relax letters add a bold touch and a reminder that a bathroom should be your happy place.
We added some pipe shelves over the toilet. I’ve been seeing this type of shelving a lot of places and it was great to incorporate this style feature in the Rodgers’ bathroom. Stylish and functional!
This clawfoot tub was another first for us. The Rodgers’ had found it on a swap shop online. It was in rough shape, but Craig made it look brand new after he refinished it! The hardware really makes it pop!
Here’s another angle of the bathroom. I just love the paint we chose. It’s Behr Dolphin Grey. It’s the perfect bathroom grey with just a hint of blue undertones.
Thanks for checking out what we’ve been up to! As always, we’re on to the next project. Hint – home office redo is in the near future.
